The Orland School District 135 Board of Education is dedicated to providing
a dynamic environment that enables all children to experience success and realize their potential.

Board of Education Goals (adopted October, 2014)
Community
Short Term: Communicate current issues to the community on a quarterly basis to solicit feedback.
Long Term: Host semi-annual events to engage the community.

Finance
Short Term: Explore alternative cost saving measures without jeopardizing the quality of education.
Long Term: Project the sustainability of current upcoming projects/programs in light of ever-changing legislation.

Programs/Instruction
Short Term: Meet the immediate needs of the students based upon data.
Long Term: Foster a culture of innovation for students to be career and college-ready.

Student Achievement / School Improvement
Short Term: Provide student data on universal assessments as available.
Long Term: Compile longitudinal data to guide future decisions within the next five years.

Technology
Short Term: Accelerate the technology roll-out for (EC-5) primary-intermediate grades.
Long Term: Evaluate the efficacy and sustainability of the integration of technology over time on student achievement.
